This was the line we received from the Turner guys when they invited us to take part in this project:
“Hey guys, I have a new cool project for you; it is not for Adventure Time… but the creators of AT for sure were inspired by the toons of this project.”
 
Guess what? They are absolutely right about it. All the cartoons we have had the chance to animate for this Tooncast spot were not only an inspiration for AT, but also for all of us: Animators, illustrators, designers… in a nutshell, it has always been about [watching] Scooby Doo and The Flintstones, Dexter and Samurai Jack. All of them are a huge part of the proto references of our world of animation, character design and storytelling.
 
For Le Cube, to write a script that made it possible for all the different styles of characters to coexist was a huge honor and an incredible experience. We added our spirit in the art direction, with beautiful backgrounds and shadows. We did it with respect and great love for each and every detail of the animation: The result was beautiful and respectful, just what all these characters deserve.
Many thanks to Genndy Tartakovsky, Iwao Takamoto, Joseph Barbera, William Hanna and all the geniuses who have created these beloved characters. This is our tribute to you. And thanks to the awesome Cartoon Network Team for having invited us into this nostalgic adventure.
